PineScript ↔ MQL Conversion — Port Your Indicator or Strategy With Verified Results
We translate TradingView scripts into native MetaTrader indicators and Expert Advisors, and back, then prove the port is faithful by comparing values bar by bar.
Converting a TradingView PineScript indicator or strategy to MQL5 or MQL4 gives you a native MetaTrader indicator or Expert Advisor that trades without TradingView. ExpertNevees ports the logic, reimplements Pine’s built-in functions where MetaTrader differs, and verifies numerical parity bar by bar. Typical delivery is 3–7 days. The reverse direction, MQL to PineScript, is also supported.
Why Traders Convert From TradingView to MetaTrader
If you only need alerts to reach MetaTrader, a bridge may be enough. See TradingView–MetaTrader Integration.

Where Pine and MQL Differ, and How We Handle It
| Topic | PineScript behaviour | MQL approach |
|---|---|---|
| Execution model | Script re-runs on each bar, and on each realtime tick for the unfinished bar | EA reacts to ticks with OnTick, with new-bar detection coded explicitly |
| Series access | Series and history referencing with [n] indexing | Arrays or indicator buffers, with careful array-direction (series) handling |
| Built-in functions | ta.ema, ta.rsi, ta.atr and others | Built-in MQL indicators or custom code. Smoothing details can differ: Pine’s ta.atr uses RMA smoothing, whereas MetaTrader’s built-in ATR averages with a simple moving average, so we reimplement Pine’s formula when exact parity is needed |
| Multi-timeframe | request.security() | Higher-timeframe handles and CopyBuffer or CopyRates, with look-ahead avoided |
| Orders | strategy.entry, strategy.exit and a simulated broker | Real order requests with result checking, slippage and broker constraints |
| Drawing | plot, label, line, box | Indicator buffers and chart objects |
Always confirm the specifics of each function against current documentation: Pine Script reference and MQL5 reference.
How We Verify a Faithful Port
Read and document the Pine logic
We review the script and list every calculation, input, and repainting or look-ahead behaviour.
Port the indicator logic
Pine functions are rebuilt in MQL, using native MetaTrader indicators only where the maths is identical.
Export and compare values
Indicator values from TradingView and MetaTrader are compared bar by bar. Differences beyond rounding are investigated and fixed.
Build the Expert Advisor (strategies)
Entries, exits, stops and sizing are implemented with real order handling and risk controls.
Strategy Tester validation
Trade lists are compared with the TradingView strategy tester. Expected differences, such as data, spread and fill model, are explained.
Why Results Will Not Be Identical Everywhere
- ●TradingView and your broker use different price data, so indicator values and trades can differ slightly.
- ●TradingView’s strategy tester simulates fills with its own assumptions, while MetaTrader uses your broker’s spread and execution model.
- ●Scripts that repaint, or that use unconfirmed realtime bars, cannot be matched to live behaviour. We identify these first and suggest a non-repainting alternative.
- ●We explain every remaining difference in the parity report.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can any PineScript be converted to MQL5?
Most indicators and strategies can. Scripts relying on features without a MetaTrader equivalent, such as some data feeds or heavy drawing objects, need workarounds, which we explain before quoting.
Will the converted EA give the same results as TradingView?
It will follow the same logic, and we verify indicator values against TradingView. Trade results can still differ because of data, spread and fill model, and we document the differences.
Can you convert to MQL4 instead of MQL5?
Yes. We deliver MQL4 or MQL5 as you need.
Can you convert my MQL indicator to PineScript?
Yes. We rebuild the logic in PineScript v6 with alerts, subject to what Pine can express.
How long does a conversion take?
Typically 3–7 days depending on script size and complexity. The exact date is confirmed before work starts.
Do I need to own the PineScript?
You should have the right to convert it. We convert your own scripts or open-source scripts whose license allows derivative works, and we do not decompile or copy protected scripts.
